About The Event
Back to Basics is the premier sustainable living event of north-central Minnesota! For 2022, there will be both virtual and in-person options happening over a range of dates:
Virtual workshops and the virtual keynote kick off Saturday, January 22.
Keynote speaker Diane Wilson will present "Growing Justice and Equity in Our Food Landscape" at 10 a.m. on January 22 via Facebook Live - FREE.
Between January 24 and February 25, in-person workshops will be offered at the Pine River-Backus School.
Spring Fair will take place Saturday, May 21 at the Lakes Music & Events Park in Pine River. This outdoor venue features a covered vendor area with up to 30 booths providing educational materials, services, and goods of a sustainable nature. Food will be available for purchase. The Fair will be free and includes select workshops and activities for the whole family.
