Programs, Lessons, & Activities

Happy Dancing Turtle is dedicated to growing good stewards of the planet. Our educational programs are designed to foster a love of nature and encourage participants to become caretakers of the environment.

We offer a wide variety of educational experiences for ages Pre-K through adults with hands-on indoor/outdoor activities, informative workshops, family programming, guided field trips, and engaging lessons for classrooms, libraries, parks, and more! If you're interested in getting your classroom outdoors, we'd be happy to meet you at a school forest, local park, or other field trip destination.

Program offerings include a broad range of topics:

• Animals

• Ecology

• Plants

• Stewardship

• Sustainability

• & more!

Program fees begin at $25 per hour for school programs and $35 per hour for community programs (with a minimum fee of 1-hour). Happy Dancing Turtle largely subsidizes the cost of these programs in order to make them affordable and accessible to our community. Depending on program location, a travel fee may also be included based the distance from our office. The Northern Lakes office serves areas near Pine River, Minnesota.  The Driftless Region office serves areas near Winona, Minnesota & La Crosse, Wisconsin.
