Programs, Lessons, & Activities

Happy Dancing Turtle is dedicated to growing good stewards of the planet. Our educational programs are designed to foster a love of nature and encourage participants to become caretakers of the environment.

 

We offer a wide variety of educational experiences for ages Pre-K through adults with hands-on indoor/outdoor activities, informative workshops, family programming, guided field trips, and engaging lessons for classrooms, libraries, parks, and more! If you're interested in getting your classroom outdoors, we'd be happy to meet you at a school forest, local park, or other field trip destination.

Our programs are accessible and affordable, starting at just $25 per lesson/activity. The Northern Lakes office serves areas near Pine River, Minnesota.  The Driftless Region office serves areas near Winona, Minnesota &

Please note: Beginning on September 1, 2025 program fees are increasing. School programs will start at $25 per hour and community programs will start at $35 per hour.  Depending on the program location, a travel fee may also be included. While these increases will help cover more of the costs associated with this type of outreach, Happy Dancing Turtle still largely subsidizes the cost of these programs to make them more accessible to our community.
