 Happy Dancing Turtle Nature Club 

Select Mondays, 3:15-5:00pm - September 17, October 1, October 15, November 12, November 26

Join Happy Dancing Turtle staff members for some outdoor fun! We'll meet select Mondays each month, beginning on September 17. In each session, we'll explore a new part of nature through games, lessons, activities, crafts, and more! We will be mostly outside, so please make sure you are dressed for the weather! Meet in the PRB Commons. Call PRB Community Education, 218-587-2303, to register.  Fee: $25 for all 5 sessions  Ages: 1st-4th Grade

Have you been meaning to find out what's happening on the HUG Campus with Hunt Utilities Group and Happy Dancing Turtle? Want an update or a refresher? Plan to learn more, visit, and see what's in process during this Open House & Tour. Staff will be available to share updates and guide tours. Light refreshements will be provided. 


We're excited to offer our new Guide to Greener Living Series! 

All classes will be on Mondays, from 6:00-7:30pm. Dates and locations are listed below. You can register for each class individually ($12) or sign up for the whole series of 5 classes ($55)! Looking to “green” your cleaning routine? We’ll cover recipes, tips and tricks and even clean a little too. In addition to new recipes, participants will take home a mix for later use. Meet in room 49 at the PRB High School. 

Green Your Personal Care Routine  Registration Closed 

Monday, September 24, 6-7:30pm 

Today’s personal care products (soap, deodorant, lotion, make-up, etc.) contain many not-so-healthy ingredients. There are ways to make greener choices or make your own. Join us for a discussion, recipes, and a take-home product. Meet in room 49 at the PRB High School.

You’ve heard about the plastic island in the ocean, seen the litter in waterways closer to home, and wonder if you can be making a difference. Yes, you can. Learn ways to reduce your plastic consumption, especially of single-use plastics, and cut your overall waste. We’ll cover tips and tricks, strategies, and products for greener living. Meet in room 49 at PRB High School.

Let’s talk about gifts! What, where, and if you buy for each person on the list. We’ll discuss the considerations and options for rewarding giving this season and throughout the year. Meet in room 49 at PRB High School.

Monday, November 5, 6-7:30pm 

Come learn neat ways to wrap gifts using fabric! Sometimes called fabric origami, furoshiki is Japanese for cloth wrap. Wrapping gifts with fabric is a great way to reduce waste, reuse fabric, and embellish gifts. Participants will leave with instructions and fabric wrap. Saturday, November 3 - Campus Fix-it Clinic & Clothing Swap! 

Don't miss our Fix-it Clinic & Clothing Swap on Saturday, November 3 from 9:30am-12:30pm! This is a free event, no registration required! Do you have small household appliances or electronics that aren't working like you'd like them to? Bring them, and any parts and supplies you think might be helpful, and work with a volunteer to disassemble, troubleshoot, and fix your item. Examples of items: lamp, vacuum, fan, broken cables, corroded batteries, wooden furniture, toys, etc. Must be carry-in-sized. *volunteers will do their best to rehab your item though there is no guarantee of success. Clothing Swap

Looking to turn-over some of your wardrobe or simply clean out the closet? Out with the old and in with the new! Have kids’ items that are outgrown but still in good shape? Join us for a swap! Bring items that are clean, in good working order, and ready for a new home - clothing, footwear, and accessories. Special focus on winter wear for kids through adults (coats, hats, mittens/gloves, boots, scarves, etc).
