Color Your Own Totes emphasizes use of reusable bags and encourages kids to use fewer plastic or paper bags to cut down on waste, chemicals in the environment, and save trees. Classes were held in Pine River and Pequot Lakes so kids could decorate their own reusable bags.

In the past couple of weeks HDT has welcomed more than 150 visitors to the HUG campus. Cathedral High SchoolHDT welcomed students and teachers from Cathedral High School for the second time. The kids toured the campus and participated in cob and papermaking activities. Getting creative with cob  Pressing pulp in papermaking  There was even time for a round of "Hug a Tree" Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) Early Childhood Educators, Nancy Johnson & Kim Sheley, brought two groups of parents and kids to HUG to play games, tour the campus and create a recycled craft.  Yum or Yuck? Is the food good for you (YUM!) or does it just taste good but isn't so healthy (YUCK!)? Kids worked with their Moms and Dads on a recycled craft - making egg carton bugs.  These girls are intent on adding legs to their egg-carton bugs!
Nothing takes care of the wiggles like a game of hopscotch! This was no ordinary hopscotch though - kids had to name a food in the food group that the bean bag landed on.
