Cass County Household Hazardous Waste Goes Mobile

Cass County is offering mobile Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) collections in 2012

This service is offered to Cass County Residents only. Business waste is not accepted unless noted otherwise.

Products accepted at the mobile collection sites include:
Unwanted or unusable paint, stain and paint products, adhesives, mercury products, corrosives, pesticides, oven cleaners, cleaning products, old gasoline, automotive products (except motor oil)

Also accepting:

  • Old electronics - TVs and computers (no business waste)
  • Fluorescent bulbs (homeowners and business OK)

The following will NOT be accepted:

  • used motor oil, oil filters, or antifreeze (take to any Cass County transfer site at no charge year round)
  • unusable joint compound - please dry out and dispose of in regular garbage
  • explosives or radioactive wastes

HHW Mobile Collection Schedule

  • Monday July 9 from 11:00am - 4:00pm in Longville at Slagle's Transfer Site
  • Friday August 17 from 10:00am - 12:00pm in Remer at Do it Best Hardware
  • Friday August 17 from 1:30pm - 4:30pm in Outing at Crooked Lake Town Hall
  • Wednesday August 22 from 3:00pm-7:00pm in Pillager at May Township Transfer Site
